How's it to be in India for the first time?
Since I have grown up in Dubai, I have many friends from India. Before I took the flight, they gave me a fair idea as to what I should expect from the country. And like they said, India is a place to fall in love with.
What in India fascinates you the most?
People, the willingness to accept other cultures, palm trees and the hot weather.
What kind of a response are you expecting from the Indian crowd?
The reactions of the people are the same universally, because they like this kind of music. I am very excited to play here.
Do you compose differently for different cities?
Yes, every place has a different approach to songs. Depending on the venue and the crowd, we decide the track list. What remains same is a high level of energy.u00a0
Why did you change your name?
It has nothing to do with religion. When I was in the high school basketball team, I was the shortest among all. My classmates started calling me wolf, and that's where I got my nickname.u00a0
What drove you to music?
Music is what I have grown up with. My mother was a piano teacher and father played guitar and drums. It's not that I had thought of music as a career, but then I couldn't control the temptation of microphone, stage and notes.
Songwriter, producer and singer... which role do you enjoy the most?
I love all these roles, but these days, I like being a celebrity performer. So I am a singer, nowadays.u00a0
Who has been your inspiration?
I used to follow Michael Jackson before he got into conspiracies. But these days, I like artists like Akon.
How well has R&B gone down with the audience?
R&B artists have been doing really great, with the wave washing the whole world. We try to fuse Indian and Arabic music to make it more attractive for our fans.
You have collaborated with many artists globally. Which Indian artist would you like to work with?
I had worked on some songs for Sukhbir, and produced an album for duo Josh. I would join hands whoever's interested.
