'Give peace a chance,' appeals the band Shaa'iru00a0+ Func ahead of their performance at Shalom Peace Concert
Music expresses that, which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent. This Victor Hugo quote encompasses the importance of music in our lives. And as we struggle to survive in a world ridden by insanity, the Shalom Peace Concert aims to bring back the old world charm into our lives. We get talking to the band male lead Func on the band's kind of music.

You are a Mumbai guy. How did you merge with Shaa'ir who's born and brought up in New York?
At our very first meet in 2005, music helped us bond. We thought alike, shared the same music taste and even stood for the same issues. Without a doubt we decided to take this forward.u00a0
What do you mean by 'issues'?
We mean peace, love and music.u00a0u00a0

What's your playlist for Saturday?
We have developed a new genre of music called acoustica, in which we combine electronica and play it with digital instruments like laptop and controller. It's something that's very fresh and jazzy. I will be playing the guitar while Shaa'ir will be lending the vocals.u00a0
What about Bollywood music?
We have nothing against Bollywood music. However, we don't appreciate its 'typical'u00a0 choice. Our music is real. Going in by the response, which we receive for our kind of music, we can't imagine doing anything else.
What's in the pipeline?
Our third album will be out by October or November. We haven't named it yet.
