With a rapidly changing lifestyle, Bangloreans take to buying fresh fruits and vegetables online
Websites where the user can register and pick the amount of fruits and vegetables he or she wants home delivered have sprung up in the silicon city.
Once ordered, the vegetable vendor will promptly ring your doorbell the next morning between 8 and 10 am, six days a week.

Along with home delivery, the websites also offer multiple payment options like making payment by cards and SodexHo coupons
Websites such as storrz.com and freshbuyz.com are already becoming popular in the city for lazy buying. These websites also offer multiple payment options like making payment by cards and SodexHo coupons.
Richa Chapolia, founder, www.subjiwala.com, said, "We first launched our website in November last year, and so far we have about 300 registered users.
We generally cater to those living in apartment buildings and even some hotels."
She added, "We sell our goods at lower prices compared with stores, because we buy in bulk from farms and other markets in the city. We even provide exotic fruits like lychees and strawberries."
Devaki Sahastrabudhe (34), Koramangla resident, said, "I've been using subjiwala ever since it was launched. Being a working professional, I find it extremely convenient.

I just don't have the time to go shopping in the mornings and I come home late most nights too." She added, "After the third time, I became used to it and it's just easier for me this way."
Bindu Sharma (39), a resident of Koramangla, said, "I found out about this online service about four months ago and I've been using it ever since. It's a great option for those of us who are swamped with work."
She added, "As I have two kids, there are many time constraints. This is an easier way to shop."
However, not every Bangalorean thinks the same. Karthik S (32), a senior PR executive said, "I will never go for this. Buying vegetables is a very hands on experience. You need to know what you're buying."
He added, "There's always the possibility the vegetables aren't in a good condition and that's another thing you don't want to deal with."
u00a0Tinu Cherian, (30) a software engineer agreed. "I am conservative. Where is the fun in buying them online? My wife and I love buying veggies by ourselves even if it is at a supermarket."
