A special court hearing a coal block allocation case allegedly involving Nagpur-based Grace Industries Ltd. (GIL) on Friday granted bail to former coal secretary H.C. Gupta and other people
The court directed them to furnish a personal bond of Rs.1 lakh each and a surety of like amount each.
The court - which was hearing a matter pertaining to allocation of the Lohara (east) coal block in Maharashtra to GIL -- posted the matter for September 21.
The court on January 19 had directed the CBI to conduct further probe into the alleged collusion between public servants and company officials in a case related to the allocation of coal blocks in which the CBI had charge-sheeted GIL and one of its directors Mukesh Gupta.
