The cast and the crew: The eleventh in the series of Star Trek films seems like an impossible feat to beat with such a huge legend of 726 hours of television episodes and 10 feature films. So what you can expect is some frantic action from a cast of unknown actors. Chris Pine plays an disruptive and charming James T. Kirk, while Zachary Quinto as Spock proves himself by not letting the pointy ears and raised eyebrows act for him. Simon Pegg as Scotty and Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov are also adorable, and each time they open their mouth, they emanate waves of hysteria.
Strangely enough, the more Kirk gets beaten, tossed and thrown everytime like a ball, because of his big mouth, the more he emerges as an intelligent and talented guy. Spock with his Vulcan-human dual nature is quite an attractive figure that even Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana) has an eye for him.
Eric Bana, although almost unrecognizable as the baddie Nero though does not have much role to play, but in the little space he takes he fully justifies his evil side.
What it's about: Captained by the malicious Nero (Eric Bana), a large alien spacecraft mysteriously emerges from a space thunderstorm before attacking heavily outclassed Federation ship. Surviving the attack is Winona Kirk, returning to Earth to raise her newborn son James T Kirk (Chris Pine), who grows up to be a rebellious troublemaker. Meanwhile, an exceptionally bright half-human half-Vulcan student by the name of Spock (Zachary Quinto) is struggling to fit in because of his impure bloodline. Hoping to prove something, the two join the space cadets where they are both fast tracked into duty on-board the newly commissioned U S s Enterprise. Their first mission is to aid in the recovery of a Federation ship, whose last transmission mentioned a space thunderstorm much like the one from the day Kirk was born (which is the opening act in the film).
What's hot: Director J J Abrams and the Star Trek star cast manage to create a world that seems as
fascinating and gripping as much as it seems real. A superb cast, breathtaking special effects, a mind-blowing score and JJ Abrams skilled hand orchestrating everything as if from above make this film a unique and wonderful viewing experience.
What's not: The film is undoubtedly meant for those with a sci-fi bent. Kirk and Spock take most of the screen space leaving less room for Nero, Scotty, Chekov and even U.S.S Enterprise.
Verdict: Star Trek universe in the film seems quite a thing, but might not go down with all age groups u2014 so non-Trekkies might like to keep distance.

Iu00a0 was a little worried that Hindi movies were not being released. But after watching this movie I am very happy that they aren't. It is better not to watch one rather then watching something like Team The force.
What is it about: Raj (Sohail Khan),Yash (Yash Tonk)u00a0 and Jassi (Rajesh Hirjee) want to make it big as musicians and they are the so called 'Team'. How can the team be complete without heroines and villains? We have Amrita Arora as the actress and her brother Sayaji Shinde as the underworld don Raman Bhai. This movie should have ideally released in the 1990's because the plot seems decade older. The movie starts with these guys searching for a model for their album song and the item girl Arti Chabria enters. After that enters the don Raman Bhai who calls people over the phone and extorts money from them. He does the same to Babe (Khulbushan Karbanda) whose house the team stays as the paying guests. Now suddenly the boys raise and they want to teach a lesson to the bhai! Now how do these boys teach the Bhai a lesson is the rest of the story.
What's Hot: Ummm.. Yea! I couldnt figure out.
What's Not: The whole package called Team. I am confident that the Khan boy cannot act. Others will not even interest you. Amrita Arora comes only when there is a need for some sleaze and skin show. The music by Daboo Mallik (yeah he is back) is so not hot.The dialogues sound very crass and most of the jokes are just not funny. But if you really want to watch how Mauritius can look like Goa and how these guys go from Mumbai to Goa in 2 minutes then this is the movie for you.
Verdict: Watch it, only if you are forced to!
Not so young

Though the story is pale, debut director Narendra Babu has narrated thre story clearly. Yuva has some new action scenarios, which would appeal to all kind of audience.
What's it about: Jeevan Praksh (Karthik) is a good, young intelligent student and is also trained in martial arts. But like any other hero, he is from a poor family, who wants to become an IAS officer. But destiny has different plans for him, where he ends up killingu00a0 rowdy Anna at a cinema hall. And then there is a heroine,u00a0 Sridevi (Madhu) who loves Jeevan for his innumerable talents and finally reforms him to be a good man who doesnt kill goons! It can't get more cliched! Finally the cop Shobraj enters the scene where he advices Jeevan to start a new life with good deeds. (Cop turned counsellor??)
What's Hot: Cheetha Yajnesh Shetty and Triller Manju have done justice to all the action sequences. And Gurukiran's music is catchy.
What's Not: Karthik is good with his stunts, but acting has to be improved. Young and charming Madhu can also take some crash course in acting. Dialogues are dreadful.u00a0u00a0 Verdict: If action is what ticks you on, Go ahead.
