The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 results, the entrance test for admission to the Indian Institutes of Management, are out.
This is the first results after the management entrance test moved to a computer-based testing platform. And there has been phenomal growth in registrations that cuts across the categories and gender. The number of girls registering and appearing for the test has shown a considerable uptrend. In addition, candidates from lesser-privileged sections of the society are also registering in increasing numbers and excelling in the test.
Highlights of CAT 2012 results are: Ten students with 100 percentile scores one of them is studying science at Delhi University and the remaining come from engineering discipline.
Eight of these students with perfect scores come from IITs. Five of the ten students are still in their final year of graduation. Four girls share the honours
of scoring 99.99 percentile, highest score from among the girls. All these engineering students in their final year are studying in different parts of the country Karnataka, Orissa, Delhi and UP.
In all, 255 girls and 1640 boys scored more than 99 percentile.u00a0
