Indo-Bangla border has been sealed by the BSF in the wake of serial blasts in Assam, that has left 10 dead and over 50 hurt, BSF sources said on Tuesday.

Additional reserve forces from the frontier headquarters in Shillong have been fanned out to the border areas.

"Patrolling has been intensified while additional check points and other surveillance activities. The heightened security will remain till end-April when the polling for the Lok Sabha are completed in the north-eastern states," the source said.

BSF officials, who are also investigating the blasts separately, have not ruled out the possibilities of 'outside forces' in some of the strikes like the one at Mankachar police station in Dhubri.

In Meghalaya, security forces have strengthened security in the border areas with Assam. Police sources said frisking and vigil have been intensified along the roads connecting Assam.
