Mumbai: As many as 473 complaints were registered with the Maharashtra government's public grievance system portal, 'Aapke Sarkar' (your government), from six districts in a month's time.

Second phase of the portal was launched on August 15 this year for people living in Thane, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur districts. In the first phase, launched in January, the portal had started receiving complaints at the Mantralaya (secretariat) level.

Principal secretary (IT) V K Gautam told PTI today that 189 of these complaints from six districts were resolved. As many as 136 complaints concerned the revenue department, 79 the home department, 203 complaints were related to the municipal corporations and 55 had to do with zilla parishads.

The response was greater in urban areas than in a predominantly rural district such as Amravati. "Revenue related issues were more in Pune with 53 complaints, which also had 39 complaints regarding the home department, while there were 134 complaints about the municipal corporation-related issues in Thane," he said.
