Twenty-two people were killed and at least 60 injured in a bridge collapse in Bijonbari area of West Bengal's Darjeeling district on Saturday evening

Twenty-two people were killed and at least 60 injured in a bridge collapse in Bijonbari area of West Bengal's Darjeeling district on Saturday evening. The wooden bridge gave way when around 100 people stood on it to hear speeches by Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leaders holding a meeting in the area. Development minister Goutam Deb headed to the spot after receiving instructions from CM Mamata Banerjee.
