2 brothers drown in pond near Chakan

Two brothers drowned in a pond near Chakan yesterday afternoon. Abhishek (12) and Pratik Khandebharad (15) were from Kadachiwadi in Khed taluka.

They were looking after their cattle when they entered the deep pond and drowned as they were not swimmers.

The two were students of Shivaji Mandir school in Chakan. Taken to the government hospital in Chakan by villagers, they were declared dead by doctors.u00a0
