'We bought Kaka's home after just one meeting!'

When Rajesh Khanna was Jatin Khanna, he lived at Saraswati Nivas, Tahkurdwar Naka, Girgaon. This home was purchased by the Lohana family

They remember their first meeting with Kaka at his office in order to discuss a deal. Pushpa Thakkar says he was very supportive, polite and down to earth.

“We were in search of a home near our steel shop. We found out about Rajesh Khanna’s home and approached him,” says Hiral Thakkar. “He negotiated the price for some time, then left the decision to me. None of us could believe he would agree as quickly as he did.”
