The weather bureau's Colaba station, which is representative of Mumbai city, recorded temperatures between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius

The Santacruz station, representative of the suburbs, recorded maximum and minimum temperatures of 32 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively

The humidity levels reached 61 per cent in the suburbs and 57 per cent in the city

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast weather warning for parts of Maharashtra, alerting residents to possible thunderstorms and gusty winds over the next few hours

According to the IMD’s update issued on Monday evening, a yellow warning has been sounded for the districts of Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv 

The weather department stated that light spells of rain and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur in these districts. The thunderstorms may also bring gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour, which could lead to brief disruptions

On Tuesday, the weather bureau has predicted the temperatures in the city and the suburbs to range between 24 and 33 degrees Celsius

The city is likely to experience haze in the morning and mainly clear sky towards afternoon/evening

The interior districts of the state remained particularly warm, with Malegaon emerging among the hottest locations at 39.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Jeur at 39.5 degrees Celsius and Sholapur at 39.0 degrees Celsius. Parbhani recorded a maximum temperature of 38.8 degrees Celsius, while Osmanabad reported 38.4 degrees Celsius, reflecting warmer-than-usual conditions across central Maharashtra.
