Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant on Wednesday said only the chief minister and two deputy chief ministers will take oath during the swearing-in ceremony to be held on Thursday

BJP`s central observer for Maharashtra, Vijay Rupani, said that along with the CM, two Deputy CMs will also be sworn in at the oath ceremony on Thursday

The decision on the modalities of the cabinet and portfolios will be taken later, Uday Samant said

After being elected as the BJP`s Legislative Party leader, Fadnavis termed the Maharashtra Assembly poll results as "historic" and reiterated the "Ek Hain to Safe Hain" slogan of PM Narendra Modi during campaigning and added "Modi Hai to Mumkin hai"

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said the post of Chief Minister is a "technical arrangement" and he would run the new Mahayuti coalition government in Maharashtra by taking allies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar along

"I and two deputy chief ministers will take oath (during the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday evening). It is yet to be decided how many ministers will take oath," Fadnavis said

Ajit Pawar said the new government will function unitedly, while Shinde said he was satisfied with his two and half years` tenure during which welfare measures and development agenda were pursued in a balanced way

"We will work as a team. Our responsibility has grown because of the huge mandate," said Eknath Shinde
