Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Thursday said that ongoing COVID-19 vaccination drive in Mumbai will come to a halt from Friday as the stock of vaccine doses in the city is about to end. Maharashtra Health Minister Tope said that many inoculation centres in Maharashtra are being shut due to a shortage of coronavirus vaccines. He further said that the state has only 14 lakh doses which would last just three days. Tope also said that instead of supplying vaccines to other countries, Centre should supply them to our own states first. Maharashtra wants at least 40 lakh vaccine dosages every week, he said.
