The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on Thursday issued an urgent notice informing citizens of a temporary disruption in water supply following a leakage in the main pipeline supplying water from Morbe Dam.

According to civic officials, the 2050 mm diameter main water pipeline developed a leak near the Bhokarpada Water Treatment Plant. As a precautionary measure, water supply from the treatment plant to the NMMC area has been shut down with immediate effect to facilitate repair work.
