The police said that two students from Mumbai drowned in a pond near a waterfall in Palghar district on Monday, reported news agency PTI.

They were part of a group of 6 students from Ashok Nagar in Mumbai's Goregaon who had come to the pond in the Chinchoti area of Naigaon for a swim, a police officer said, reported PTI.

While enjoying their outing, two men drowned in the pond, he said.
