A label on the shirt of an 82-year-old man helped the Government Railway Police (GRP) identify him and trace his family within two hours of his body being found at a railway station in Maharashtra’s Thane district, news agency PTI reported on Tuesday, quoting an officer.

According to the officer, the elderly man was run over by a train, and his body was discovered on the tracks at Dombivli Railway Station on Monday. A case of accidental death was registered under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). However, the GRP initially had no clues to establish his identity, as the man had no documents or personal belongings on him.
