BMW car catches fire after it was taken in control by the authorities

In a very tragic incident in Thane, a BMW car caught fire near Kasarvadavali signal in front of the Mahindra showroom causing panic among the people.

As per the Disaster Management Cell, the incident which took place on the busy Ghodbunder Road in Thane West on Saturday, August 16 afternoon, was reported at 12:06 pm. Fortunately, it did not result in any injuries, as all three people sitting inside the car were able to get out safely. 

According to the Disaster Management Cell, the BMW car was travelling from Lodha Splendora, Ovala, towards Manpada when the fire suddenly erupted. On noticing smoke and fire, the driver and passengers immediately evacuated the vehicle, avoiding any casualties. After safely stopping the car on the side of the road, the three men got out in time before things could take a turn for the worse, and the authorities arrived to the rescue.

The fire was reported by a man, who, without wasting any time, alerted the authorities. Responding swiftly, a team from the Balkum Fire Department, led by Station Officer Vetal, rushed to the spot with one fire engine and a rescue vehicle.
