'Modi government gave Rs 21,000 crore for Marathwada rail lines': Maharashtra CM

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis praised the Centre for allocating Rs 21,000 crore for the rail projects in Marathwada over the past 10 years. According to him, only Rs 450 crore was allocated to the region during the UPA regime. Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday, hailed the Union Government on Wednesday, stating that the Centre under Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi has allocated Rs 21,000 crore in the past 10 years for rail projects in Maharashtra's Marathwada. He also claimed that only Rs 450 crore was allocated for the region by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime.

CM Fadnavis, while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Beed-Ahilyanagar section of the Parli-Beed-Ahilyanagar railway project, accused the earlier Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of stalling rail projects in the region by not releasing funds, news agency PTI reported.
