Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday said he was unaware that Sunetra Pawar would be sworn in as Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, asserting that there had been no discussion between them on the matter.
Speaking to reporters, Pawar said Sunetra Pawar’s appointment was a decision taken by her party, the Nationalist Congress Party, and that he was not consulted. He added that he had no clarity on the reasons behind the party’s decision to move ahead with the swearing-in so swiftly.
