Navi Mumbai man booked for raping woman he met on dating app

Based on a complaint, the police have registered a first information report under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code for the alleged assault that took place in September 2020

The Navi Mumbai Police in Maharashtra have registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman he met on a dating application, an official said on Monday, the PTI reported.
The police said that it has filed an FIR against the 26-year-old suspect but was yet to make arrest in the case.
