The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across Mumbai and its suburbs on Wednesday. According to the morning update issued at 8:00 am, occasional gusty winds reaching speeds of 45–55 kmph are also likely during the day.
An orange alert has been issued for the city, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few locations.
