IMD issues orange alert for Palghar, heavy showers likely in the city and Thane

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for parts of Maharashtra on Sunday, September 7.

A yellow alert has been issued for Thane, Mumbai, and Raigad districts, while Palghar remains under an orange alert, with heavy rainfall expected at isolated places. Moderate rain is likely in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Dhule, with a high probability of showers across all districts.

In addition, the ghats of Nashik have been placed under an orange alert and the ghats of Pune under a yellow alert, both expecting heavy rainfall during the day.
