Research in health technology at the University of Mumbai has received international recognition, with an innovative health monitoring device design being granted legal protection in the United Kingdom. 

As per Mumbai University, the portable device has been registered under the UK Registered Designs framework, ensuring protection of its unique visual and structural features and preventing unauthorised imitation.
