The Mumbai University (MU) announced a two-year Master’s degree in Hindu Studies or the study of Hinduism. The varsity established its own Centre for Hindu Studies (Hindu Abhyas Kendra) along the lines of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. The admission process for the two-year full-time MA in Hindu Studies for the academic year 2022-23 is set to begin next week, according to MU authorities.

The course under the Faculty of Arts will be an “interdisciplinary programme” in line with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, said Dr Ravikant Sangurde, director (in-charge) of the Centre for Hindu Studies.
