A two-year-old girl, Anvika Vivek Prajapati, died after falling from the 12th floor of a residential building in Naigaon East on Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 8 pm, after Anvika’s mother had taken her to her relative’s flat.

A police officer said, “The mother, who was in a hurry to get back, had placed the child on a shoe rack and was helping her wear her shoes when the girl lost her balance and fell through a window.” The mother rushed Anvika to Sir DM Petit Municipal Hospital in Vasai West, where doctors declared her dead before admission.
