A day after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the State Covid Task Force decided to relax the timings of shops, restaurants and eateries, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte on Tuesday issued orders to this effect, applicable immediately. However, the respective District Disaster Management Authority has been empowered to restrict timings further if deemed fit due to any local requirements but may also relax it further with the consent of the State Disaster Management Authority.
