<p>Mumbai on Saturday reported 2,054 new <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/8-per-cent-of-covid-19-patients-reported-mental-illnesses-study-23231939" rel="none">Covid-19</a> cases and two deaths, according to <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/covid-19-missed-the-second-dose-its-you-bmc-is-looking-for-23231809" rel="none">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation</a> (BMC) on June 18.</p>
<p>Two new deaths took the death toll in the city to 19,582, according to BMC.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/covid-19-fourth-wave-mumbai-and-neighbouring-cities-top-state-coronavirus-count-23231801" rel="none">Mumbai</a> has now 13,613 active cases, while its overall caseload rose to 10,92,557.</p>
<p>The metropolis had reported 2,255 new cases on Friday and 2,366 on Thursday.</p>
<p>Of 2,054 new cases, only 104 patients were admitted to hospitals, with 17 needing oxygen support.</p>
<p>Of total 13,613 active patients in the city, 71 are on oxygen support.</p>
<p>As per BMC data, the overall growth rate of cases between June 11 and 17 was 0.174 per cent, the caseload doubling time was 389 days and recovery rate stood at 97 per cent.</p>
<p>Only 587 of the 24,823 beds earmarked for Covid-19 patients are currently occupied in the city.&nbsp;</p><p>
