Mumbai on Tuesday witnessed heavy rains as Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) between May 20 and 24, predicting more showers.

Several parts of Western Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall within just one hour between 8 pm and 9 pm on Tuesday evening, with the Eksar Municipal School area recording the highest rainfall at 61 mm, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.
