Monsoon swells seven lakes in city, water levels reach 90.16 per cent

On Saturday, the lake levels across Mumbai’s reservoirs showed significant water storage following recent rainfall. Upper Vaitarna stood at 602.51 meters, holding 194,854 million litres, while Modak Sagar was at 161.32 meters with 114,081 million litres

The combined stock in the seven reservoirs that provide water to the city now stands at 90.16 per cent, according to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) data.

As per the BMC on Saturday (August 16), the collective water stock in these reservoirs is 1,304,981 million litres, which amounts to 90.16 per cent of their total capacity.
