IMD issues orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, warns of ‘very heavy rainfall'

In its latest weather update, IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, indicating “heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places” on Friday and Saturday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several districts of Maharashtra, especially along the Konkan belt, warning of intense showers through the weekend.

In its latest weather update, IMD has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, indicating “heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places” on Friday and Saturday.

For Palghar, a red alert has been issued, indicating “extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places” on Friday.
