One person died after a fire broke out in a room at Nutan Villa Building in Khar (West) on Thursday night, said BMC's disaster cell officials. As per the BMC's disaster cell, total three women, including a 10-year-old girl, were rescued from the room. One of them, identified as Hema Jagwani (40), was rushed to Hinduja Hospital and was later declared brought dead.

Eight fire engines, six jumbo tankers and two turntable ladders along with various other equipment were rushed to the spot.
