In a touching and symbolic gesture on Republic Day, the Malad Police Station turned the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony into a powerful statement on dignity, equality, and respect for labour.

Departing from convention, the police entrusted the honour of hoisting the national flag not to a celebrity or a senior political figure, but to Anil Soda, a sanitation worker who has been serving at the Malad Police Station for several years. The initiative was aimed at giving true meaning to 'Shram-pratishtha' the dignity of labour.
