In an effort to reduce overcrowding on Mumbai’s trains, the Maharashtra government has formed a special committee to study and suggest staggered office timings for government offices located in Mumbai city and suburban districts, an official notification said on Friday.
The decision follows a request by Central Railway officials, who highlighted the heavy rush of commuters during morning and evening peak hours.
