Chota Sion Hospital dialysis centre to reopen under PPP model in May

10-bed facility will be operated under PPP model; PMJAY beneficiaries, referred patients to receive free treatment

The dialysis centre at the Loknete Eknathrao Gaikwad Urban Health Centre in Dharavi — commonly known as Chota Sion Hospital — is set to reopen, bringing much-needed relief to patients dependent on life-saving treatment. The facility, originally operated by Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, had ceased operations in September 2024 due to a shortage of manpower.
