A streetlight with exposed electrical cables on Juhu Tara Road appears to be on the verge of collapse, posing a serious risk to passers-by. On Monday afternoon, when mid-day visited the spot, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials could be seen engaged in drainage work on the footpath along the eastbound stretch of the street, opposite the All India Balkan-Ji-Bari sports complex.
Once this is completed, the footpath will be restored. The ongoing work has left pedestrians with no choice but to walk on the road, putting their lives in danger. This risk is especially heightened during peak morning and evening hours, when heavy traffic makes navigating the streets even more difficult and unsafe.
