Mumbai: Ashwini Bhide becomes BMC’s first woman commissioner

Ashwini Bhide appointed as new BMC Commissioner
Senior IAS officer Ashwini Bhide has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Bhide’s appointment as BMC Commissioner makes her the first woman to hold the top post in the civic body’s history.
Ashwini Bhide replaces outgoing commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, who will retire from service on Tuesday, March 31.
