A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed his former girlfriend to death before taking his own life in Kalachowkie on Friday morning, after a fallout in their decade-long relationship. According to the police, the accused Sonu Barai and the deceased woman Manisha Yadav, 24, are both residents of the Ambewadi area in Kalachowkie and had been together for over ten years, since their teenage days.

Over the past few weeks, the relationship had turned turbulent. Around 20-25 days ago, Barai reportedly began suspecting that Yadav was talking to another man on Instagram. His constant questioning and accusations allegedly led to repeated fights between the two.
