Mumbai: Airport support staff on strike

Passengers travelling from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport had to face some inconvenience as the ground staff went on a sudden strike. Passengers had to contend with overflowing dustbins and dirty toilets as the striking staff included those from house-keeping and baggage handling, too. 

According to a spokesperson from MIAL, “MIAL has nothing to do with it. This is between the third party vendor and the employees.” Sources said the strike did not affect flight operations.
