A 33-year-old man died after allegedly jumping from the fifth floor of an abandoned building in Kurla West following threats from a 17-year-old boy. Vinoba Bhave Nagar police have registered cases of abetment of suicide and assault under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police said a call was received around 1.25 pm on October 9, reporting that the man had jumped from Building No. 9 on Kirol Road. He was rushed to Rajawadi Hospital but was declared dead before admission. An ADR (Accidental Death Report) was initially filed.

During the inspection, officers found several empty beer bottles, a broken bottle, and clothes believed to belong to the deceased. CCTV footage later showed the victim entering the building with the minor, who allegedly lured him via a dating app under the pretext of introducing another youth for money. The minor reportedly brought two friends and threatened the victim with exposure of his personal life, and used a broken bottle to intimidate him.
