MMRDA proposes fare fixation committee for Metro lines 2A and 7

Metro Lines 2A and 7, which began operations on 2 April 2022, are currently managed by the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL). With a weekday ridership of around 2.65 lakh passengers, these metro lines are a crucial part of Mumbai’s public transport network

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed the formation of a Fare Fixation Committee (FFC) for Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7, an official statement said on Thursday.
It said, "In a move aligned with statutory provisions, the MMRDA has proposed the constitution of a Fare Fixation Committee under Section 33 and 34 (I) of the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act, 2002."
