The newly extended Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3 (Aarey JVLR-Acharya Atre Chowk) has recorded a ridership of 32,791 on Day 1. Of this, 16,377 commuters travelled on the extended stretch from Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to Acharya Atrey Chowk (Worli Naka). This is significant ridership, especially considering that Saturdays typically see lower numbers compared to weekdays, when most commuters are students and office-goers.
On previous Saturday, May 3, the ridership between Aarey JVLR (Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road) and BKC stood at 15,911 by 8 pm, while on April 26, it was recorded at 12,766 on the same section.
