The southwest monsoon is likely to begin withdrawal from Maharashtra's Vidarbha region around October 10, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Monday, reported the PTI.

The weather department on Monday issued a yellow alert for parts of Vidarbha, forecasting light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning for the next few days.
