Rains were likely to hit Pune, Satara, Sindhudurg and some other parts of Maharashtra on Friday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a weather alert issued on May 23.

In nowcast warning issued at 4:45 pm on Friday, the IMD Mumbai said, "Moderate spells of rain very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Pune, Ahilyanagar, Satara, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Ratnagiri during next 3-4 hours."
