Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently concluded a series of high-level meetings in New Delhi over two days, aiming to secure Central government approvals and financial assistance for a wide array of state projects, reported PTI.
During his visit, CM Fadnavis met with several prominent Union Ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers JP Nadda, and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He also held discussions with NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer BVR Subrahmanyam and member Rajiv Gauba, among others.
A statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Friday, sharing more details on the meeting with Sitharaman, said that Fadnavis presented his govt five major projects. For these projects, Maharashtra is seeking assistance from global financial institutions, with a total proposed funding around 3.5 billion dollars.
