After Gujarat’s recent cabinet reshuffle, all eyes are now on Maharashtra. Sources within the Mahayuti government say a performance review of ministers is planned within the next year, and those found underperforming could be dropped from the cabinet.
A senior Maharashtra minister and BJP leader confirmed the plan. Speaking on condition of anonymity, he said, “The government hasn’t even completed a year. We’ll give ministers enough time to perform. Ideally, a review should be done after two to two-and-a-half years. Those failing to meet benchmarks will face action.”
