Five rescued safely after being trapped in an elevator at Thane highrise

According to the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the malfunction was reported around 12:50 AM by the Balkum Fire Station. A technical fault had caused the lift to stall on the third floor, trapping five individuals inside

Five residents, including a two-year-old child, were safely rescued after being trapped in an elevator at a highrise residential building in Thane early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at the 38-storey Vairat Building, part of the Vaikunth Pyramid Society in Balkum, Thane (West).
