The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) marked a historic milestone at the World Economic Forum Annual Summit 2026, securing 96 billion dollars (Rs 8,73,600 crore) in investment commitments on day one through the signing of 10 memorandum of understanding (MoUs). The agreements, signed by MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, were inked in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
