A case has finally been registered in the delivery scam wherein Divya Dhaval Sandesara, a 34-year-old from Dahisar, was cheated by an online fraudster and a delivery boy under the pretext of delivering goods to another country. Dahisar police have booked Mudit Singh, the fraudster, and Rajnikant Tiwari, 20, a delivery person working with WeFast.
The development comes after mid-day published the story, Fake courier man dupes Dahisar woman of R42,500, on January 18. Earlier, Sub-Inspector Shivaji Narwade from Dahisar police refused to register the case against the fraudster and told Sandesara that they would only file a case if the amount lost is more than Rs 1 lakh.
