Cyclonic storm Shakhti moves southward over Arabian Sea

The storm is expected to recurve, moving nearly eastwards over the west-central and northwest Arabian Sea, further weakening into a depression by the forenoon of Tuesday

Cyclonic Storm Shakhti over the west-central and adjoining northwest Arabian Sea has moved nearly southward at a speed of 5 km/h over the past six hours.

As of 0300 UTC today, it was centred near latitude 19.6 degrees North and longitude 60.5 degrees East, approximately 210 km southeast of Masirah Island (Oman, station 41288).
